The General Motors Company was founded in 1908, and it soon became known as one of the largest car manufacturers in the world.
The trade name GMC Trucks was first exhibited in 1912 at the New York Auto Show and was registered with the United States Patent Office eight months later. Now known as the high-end truck-building division
of General Motors, the "GMC" in GMC Truck stands for General Motors Corporation.
Please note: Should you or a friend have some type of used truck for sale and you wish to advertise it free on this website, just send a
picture of the truck along with details on the truck and an email address or phone number where you can be contacted. I am willing to
leave such ads on Classy Trucks for two months free of charge as long as you will let me use the photo later on one of my regular pages.
